Eligibility Criteria
DescriptionTwo year scholarships awarded annually to approximately 20 students who are studing towards a Bachelors Degree in fields related to international business, at an accredited 4 year degree granting university/college. Awards are only available to those intending to live and study abroad in the upcoming academic year and who demonstrate both financial need and academic merit. Other RequirementsSupporting documents required: 1. ORIGINAL transcripts from ALL schools attended from highschool until present (including recently completed FALL semester). Should you be shortlisted for the interview process you will be required to produce your 2012 SPRING semester grades). Transcripts to mailed to: Scholarship Transcripts, The Centre on Philanthropy, P.O. Box HM3217, Hamilton HMNX or ABIC, c/o Chamber of Commerce, 1 Point Pleasant Rd, Hamilton HM 11 * any transcripts post stamped on or before the deadline will be accepted. 2. Copy of letter from Department of Immigration confirming Bermudian or Permanent Resident Status 3. An academic letter of recommendation from current teacher who knows your academic abilities. 4. A personal letter of recommendation from someone living in Bermuda who has known the applicant for at least 3 years. 5. Documentation from the university supporting ALL fees which you will be required to pay (e.g. taking into account the true feees if you possess dual citizenship or are a Bermudian studying abroad in the UK). 6. Completed Financial Form - can be attached to application or dropped off in a sealed envelop directly 7. Supporting letters from employers verifying income for all wage earners in your household. This can also be dropped off in sealed envelop directly to ABIC if you would prefer.
9. Copy of Letter of acceptance from the university/college where you will be enrolled/enrolling in Fall 2012. If you have not received this by the application deadline your application will still be processed; however, you will need to produce it should you be selected for the interview process in May.
